Sarah Jessica Parker has been expertly navigating the dropping temperatures in New York of late in an array of autumn-friendly footwear. Never one to be predictable, she recently made her way through the Big Apple in glittery knee-high boots and khaki cargos. It shouldn’t have worked, but it did for SJP. Now, she’s switched to another pair of knee-highs from her eponymous collection: kickass studded suede boots.

While en route to her Midtown flagship store – where she has been helping customers pick out Carrie Bradshaw-worthy shoes since July – she wore the wooden-heeled Carson sandals from her footwear line with her supple leather trousers (the Duchess of Sussex is also a fan), simple grey top and sequin-festooned face mask with dangling chain. She slung her functional yet fun cross-body bag with hot-pink strap across her front, and stashed the rest of her belongings in a practical black backpack.

But in what’s becoming a signature move, she then swapped out her commute-friendly mid-height heels for her rock chick-inspired Busker boots inside the store. We should expect nothing less than frequent costume changes from the woman who played one of the most fashion-conscious characters in small-screen history. If SJP isn’t adding sparkle, she’s seeking out studs.
