She’s famous for playing Manolo-crazy Carrie Bradshaw, but Sarah Jessica Parker’s passion for cool kicks started long before that. “Growing up in Ohio, my brothers and sisters and I would make a special trip twice a year to buy new shoes,” she recalls. “Our parents taught us to polish them every Sunday, which was probably the gateway to my obsession.” That serious love led her to create the SJP Collection, a line of killer styles that had fans flocking to stores just a year ago. Now she’s focused on the big day, debuting a luxe bridal capsule of 10 ultra-aisle-worthy heels that feature classic shapes, unexpected shades, and elegant details. The “Valentine” (which she’s wearing here) has an eye-catching crystal tim, and the open-toed “Doris” (above) comes in a royal blue, “not unlike the shoe Carrie wears for her civil ceremony to Mr. Big,” Parker notes. Most styles are offered in white, blue or moonstone (a shimmering pinkish-white), but every pair has the SJP finishing touch: a grosgrain ribbon up the back, often in “something blue.” It’s just one more reason to feel lucky you’re in her shoes.
